Get Yourself Together

  1. Start the day off fresh
    • Did my best considering I’m SICK. The freshest way to start my day was washing my face and listening to mood music while not thinking about work or worries. Simply being in the moment. Not the best fresh start, but I did my best, and that’s what counts.
  2. Ask questions
    • I’m still very sick. My questions involved were toward myself: what can I do today? How can I make myself feel better? What can I do to improve my week regardless of how I feel? And surprisingly, it worked in my favor. Having questions gave me a chance to answer, rather than just re-spouting worries to myself. And having an answer made things easier to look at. So, when you have some issues, phrase questions rather than telling yourself you have problems.
  3. What the universe/God/whatever knows about you is more important than what others think of you
    • It’s not my business what others think of me. That’s why I wear black everyday.
  4. Things only affect you if you dwell on it
  5. Set goals and high standards for yourself
  6. Accept nothing less than you deserve
  7. Remember you’re beautiful and you don’t ever need validation from anyone
  8. Your mentality and actions should match what you want
  9. Stop trying to stunt and show off
  10. Don’t get jealous of the attention they get and you don’t
  11. Challenge beauty standard by defining beauty
  12. Focus on your journey and progression
  13. Buy yourself a self-love promise ring
  14. Fall in love with your naked body
  15. Learn to dance
  16. Don’t be afraid to experiment with makeup
  17. Take more pictures
  18. Keep a good attitude
  19. Stand up for yourself and what you believe in
  20. Have a signature accessory/clothing item/makeup look/hairstyle/fragrance/etc.
  21. Never appear other than as you are
